Best Doctors is a service that connects members with the top medical experts in the country. I work across the full stack to build out web experiences to best serve those members, in particular our patient portal and mobile app. In addition, I help enhance our operations app to allow our business users to be as productive as possible. These apps are built on Salesforce, primarily in Lightning. I also spend time on the DevOps side of things, building out Python/Ant-based ALM scripts and tools to make developers' lives easier.

Epic is a leading vendor of Electronic Health Record software in the United States. As such, it is subject to regulations put forth by the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services, most recently Meaningful Use and the Merit-Based Incentive Payment System. As a member of the Regulatory Reporting team, I worked extensively on the report logic side of things, translating high-level regulatory expectations into concrete data modeling and report writing. This work was conducted in Caché ObjectScript, a MUMPS-like scripting language used to query Epic's hierarchical database. I also worked on the ETL process for pre-aggregated data, so that customers could report off this data from their RDBMS--we also released some Crystal Reports to help accomplish this goal.I also worked on report performance optimization, conducting detailed analysis of line-by-line performance data and modifying the data aggregation infrastructure to decrease database time. Additionally I dabbled in frontend development, working in a VB6-based client. Finally, I had some exposure to project management, using Waterfall to implement some of the above regulatory programs.

Conducted research for honors thesis in abstract algebra entitled "Convexity Properties of Diestel-Leader Groups".

Populated, organized, and managed database for use in commercial smartphone application, performed testing and provided input for development of front end.

Utilized SPSS, Microsoft Excel, and EndNote to assist on Talipes Equinovarus (Club Foot) study, organized internal Microsoft Access drug dictionary to facilitate smoother access.

Performed basic assays and developed protocol for phagosome isolation leading to recent publication, organized Microsoft Excel protein database allowing for dramatically increased ease of access.

Assessed and clarified PackBot repair manual, reviewed, tested, and critiqued protocols.
