Welfare Personnel is an agency that covers shifts for various residential care organisations. Residential care units house youths under the age of 18 who are unable to live safely in their existing environment for reasons including abuse, neglect or poverty.As a residential care worker my primary role was to promote the physical and emotional safety of the residents and staff at the unit. Additionally my roles were to perform the day-to-day tasks (cooking, cleaning, house upkeep etc.), reinforce the appropriate rules and boundaries, and model positive and responsible adult behaviour.

Over time I have been promoted to a Grade 3 Customer Service Representative where I have gained additional managerial responsibilities such as opening and closing the store, helping train new staff, managing the monetary worksheets, and dealing with more developed customer issues.
