My role was to develop and implement the company HSSE strategy and assurance programme. I regularly updated the Board and Executive Team on all aspects of HSSE performance.

My role was to lead the Health and Safety Team in improving stakeholder safety and wellbeing, and develop and embed improved systems and assurance processes. A key part of the role was to deliver the company’s transformational health and safety change programme. During this time I developed and delivered a Health and Safety Leadership Programme to Executives and Senior Managers, and attended Executive and Board SHE Committee meetings.

A member of the Executive Business Team, I managed a $10M annual budget and led a global team of HSE professionals in the Chemical and Industrial Services business. Support areas included Product Stewardship, chemical manufacturing, oilfield chemical operations and industrial services relating to refinery process and pipelines. High hazards included chemical process safety, pressure systems and transportation.Key Functions:Develop and implement HSE policy to drive culture, ensure compliance and reduce risk. Ensure chemical Product Stewardship programs are implemented and effective. Drive HSE system and process efficiency. Lead, mentor and develop a diverse team of HSE professionals. Advise and influence stakeholders on HSE policy and regulation.Key Achievements:• Delivered an HSE risk management / integration project on a $250M business acquisition involving over 50 sites and 700 employees globally• Responsible for the successful implementation of REACH and GHS, meeting regulatory and client requirements across the global business • Consistently improved lagging and leading health and safety performance: In 2014, injuries and vehicle accidents were reduced by 25% respectively, and employee HSE observations were increased by 80%• Increased HSE team efficiency through geographic reorganisation and 20% reduction in costs • Operationalised process safety across COMAH/PSM chemical manufacturing and blend plants globally

A member of the Executive Business Team, I managed a $10M annual budget and led a team of HSE professionals in supporting oilfield service operations across the EARC Region. Product lines included high-performance drilling and evaluation, well completions and production, pressure pumping, technology innovation and tool based manufacturing. High hazards included radiation, explosives, chemicals, pressure systems and heavy engineering.Key Functions:Develop and implement HSE policy to drive culture, ensure compliance and reduce risk.
