Working directly with the Civil Engineering department of CSUS, I work directly with the engineering departments Professor's, pending assignment. Currently, I had been aiding for the Mechanics of Materials engineering course(ENG 112), to which I provided grading and further evaluation of class performance. Working directly with the Professor, I would aide in furthering concentration in certain subjects that were lacking of understanding in the class. Assignments and tests were then administered pending finalization by both the Professor and I.

Employed through the State of California, Department of Conservation, I am working in the California Geological Survey's Strong Motion Instrumentation Program (CSMIP) office, as the Civil Engineering intern. The California Strong Motion Instrumentation Program (CSMIP) records the strong shaking of the ground and in structures during earthquakes for the engineering and scientific communities through a statewide network of strong motion instruments.  The measured ground strong shaking is used immediately after an event to assist in emergency response by agencies like Cal OES.  Structural measurements are studied after events to analyze the performance of structures, with the goal of mitigating future earthquake impacts through improved building codes for safer, more earthquake resistant structures.Working directly with earthquake engineer Dr. Swensen (P. E.) and Senior Engineer Moh Huang (P. E.), I am responsible for earthquake instrumentation layout drawings and aide in planning of future instrumentation layouts. These layouts and drawings are then to be submitted to CSMIP's online database for public use and research, pending finalization after installation of seismic sensors. Work is primarily done on prexisiting infastructure such as the Golden Gate Bridge and Bay Bridge, but also new infastructure like the Salesforce Tower or Pffiefer Canyon Bridge.
