Key Responsibilities• Maintains accurate documentation and records for purchasing, storage and distribution• Prepares and oversees the logistics budget• Oversees plans/policies to ensure the adequate storage and optimum stock levels of inventory to maximize time and cost effectiveness• Contributes towards strategic planning activities from a logistics perspective to assist with achieving organizational objectives• Monitors the quality, quantity, cost and efficiency of the movement and storage of goods and recommend improvements to promote greater efficiency or to correct problems• Directs or undertakes contract negotiations with relevant suppliers to meet quality, cost and delivery requirements and ensure best value for expenditure Oversees the provision and use of space for storage with the aim of maximizing distribution efficiency• Develops and maintains professional relationships with key suppliers to ensure business needs are met• Develops, implements and reviews OHS policies, procedures and programs Maintains knowledge of laws, rules and regulations affecting occupational health and safety• Provides coaching, advice and assistance to line managers and employees on OHS policies, processes, issues and initiatives• Conducts ad hoc research on OHS issues and develop recommendations to resolve issues• Conducts OHS audits and inspections and make recommendations for eliminating and reducing risk• Investigates and report on accidents, incidents, hazards and risks Compiles, interprets and maintains OHS reporting and statistics• Maintains up to date OHS training license and permit records Identifies and coordinates safety training requirements Undertakes administrative duties of the OHS function

• Significant broad supply chain experience, including logistics, information systems, warehousing, receiving and dispatching and materials management • Supervise Logistics Persons and prepare Annual Performance reviews. • Coordinate annual Inventory Audits. • Is the first point of contact for Logistics shop requirements and process improvements.• Ensures that all receipts both locally and overseas are received and accounted for. • Takes appropriate corrective action for any discrepancies in Quality or Quantity.• Ensures that the correct priorities are given at receiving to prevent any work stoppage.• Works closely with the respective freight forwarders for prompt collection and dispatch of items locally and overseas, including Hazardous good.• Review and analyze all freight contracts and costs. • Assisted in the set up of Kan Ban process in the workshop. • First point contact for all AOG (Air Craft On Ground) related issues pertaining to all logistics functions.

• I reduced the delivery performance from 12 to 14 days (from receipt of order to delivery) down to a consistent 2 to 3 day turnaround. • Relayed the Warehouse to comply with DG requirements. • Successful negotiation of new transport provider.
