Inventory Management. Maintain minimum safe working product inventory levels, through collaboration with Traders, Manufacturing colleagues & the Coastal Distribution Coordinator. If required, implement contracts to acquire or sell product locally to maintain stock levels. Ensure that Inventory levels are within targets set during the business plan process to minimise the impact on operating cash flows. Forecast future import requirements (refined petroleum products) and coordinate with operations to finalise term supply arrangements with offshore refineries. Manage term contracts, and the importation of finished refined petroleum products, via Medium Range tankers into New Zealand. Works closely with the Coastal Distribution Coordinator to schedule imported product into local ports or terminals. Monitors and minimizes import costs such as demurrage, port charges and other operating expenses.Manage the ETS Carbon management process. Coordinates with Traders in procuring carbon units, and works closely with business analysts in the surrender of carbon units to meet the company’s carbon obligations on an annual basis within the Emissions Trading Scheme.Manage the export process of Refining NZ by-products (E.g. Naphtha) for Chevron NZ.Responsible for the Transfer Price system. Reviews the cost build-up of supply operations and ensures that these costs are recovered on a cents per litre basis. A member of a team that reviews customer account and product profitability. Provide supply cost build-up by product to determine the feasibility of new and existing accounts. Involved in Refinery shut down planning, and implementation of mitigation plans to minimise supply disruptions as a result.Coordinates and leads weekly team operations meetings. Responsible for the Importation, Storage & Distribution of Chevron Finished Lubricants in New Zealand. The role included the supervision of 2 direct reports within the supply chain.Managed and coordinated the importation of Lubricant finished product from various supply sources around the world. Was responsible for developing relationships with key suppliers and working closely with our preferred customs brokers & shipping lines.Product stored at 2 locations within New Zealand, in Auckland & Christchurch. The facilities are operated by a 3rd party logistics provider. Inventory management and stock control was a major part of the role, a large proportion of the company's capital employed was derived from inventory holding. Old & Slow products were reviewed on a regular basis, the objective to reduce Days Inventory On Hand and increase stock turns.The role was also responsible for overseeing the distribution of product from the 2 storage locations to Chevron NZ customers via our preferred transport operators. "On Time In Full" metrics were reviewed regularly with our 3rd party distribution operations.Due to the outsourcing of logistics operations; an emphasis of the role was placed on managing these contracts effectively. HES responsibilities also formed a major part of managing these contracts.

I managed and prepared the business plan and associated templates along with engaging all relevant stakeholders including, the fiscal dept and GLAP planning group to ensure quality of information for the 3 year projection of the business.Management Reporting. Created a “Return on Investment” model used in the evaluation of potential projects, including the regular updating of financial information within that model. Maintained the lubricant pricing schedule for 400 SKU’s. Reviewed pricing against product cost on a monthly basisProject Management Represented the LBU in a number of high level projects, including the review of the NZ business which resulted in the closure of the NZ blend plant and implementation of a 3pl logistics provider.
