My role as National Technical Hardware support has opened new experiences and opportunities for me. Thoroughly enjoying my role which includes assisting engineers around New Zealand with MFD queries and having a small part in marketing planning for consumables but best of all training on new equipment, in my case printers. Now as I shift into my new role as Service Manager I’m relishing my new challenge which lies ahead, guiding the service team in a new direction. My journey started way back in South Africa in 1992 when I was employed in a technician learnership programme at Nashua Cape Town a subsidiary of Ricoh LTD. My 30 years experience has lead me to different successes and the move to New Zealand in 2008 a very big part of that success story for me. One of my highlights was becoming team leader in my first three years at a new company for me in New Zealand (Sharp) which made me extremely proud of my accomplishments and then I took a step (back or up depending on which way you perceive it) when I decided to leave the corporate industry to follow my dreams and become a business owner. Well the industry I was in has been decided for by Covid19 but I will always have that experience which no one can strip away from me. It was good while it lasted and I believe will be great again one day. In the interim I began contracting for Sharp Corporation in 2018 as a consultant before being offered the permanent position of National Technical Hardware Manager which was my next notch in my belt as I endeavour to climb the corporate ladder. For me as an individual, Customer Service ( CX ) is paramount in any industry, but more so in Office Automation. Your best first customer experience or worst last could determine how your clients perceive your company as you are the face of your company. My motto remains the same.... “Get out of your comfort zone so you can reach for the stars”.

National Hardware Technical ManagerSharp Corporation Of New Zealand Mar 2019 - Aug 202459 Hugo Johnston Drive, Penrose AucklandI'm back with a bang! Embracing my new role at Sharp New Zealand as the National Technical support and Hardware trainer. Truly excited about this new role and looking forward to training our technicians and hopefully making a difference in our business. Still currently a business owner keeps me focused and really tuned in with technology to the wider spectrum of the outside world. Having left the corporate industry in 2017 I have missed a fair chunk, but my 25 + years experience meant I still had much more to give back and my exodus has been short lived as I've missed this interesting and evloving industry.
