(1) Responsibilities at Deutsche BankI reported directly to the Global Head of Tax and was a member of her senior leadership team. As Regional Head of Tax for UK & Continental Europe, I was responsible for managing the bank's tax affairs in the region consistent with overall group strategy, and on a basis which generated sustainable value and protected the bank’s reputation and brand.Leading a diverse team of tax professionals in London, Madrid, Milan, Moscow and Warsaw, and with a network of local CFO tax coordinators across smaller EMEA locations, I was responsible for:• analysis, planning and reporting of the region’s key tax metrics; • providing tax advice on business and corporate transactions; • ensuring the region’s compliance with local corporate income tax laws and filing obligations; and • monitoring the region’s compliance with indirect and operational tax laws and reporting obligations.
