About Peter Johnson

I've been running a small IT business in Sussex for over 15 years until recently where I have decided to join a team of like-minded people in a retail environment. I am a mild-mannered and adaptable with over 20 year’s personal experience in IT. I enjoy challenges and thrive on seeing jobs and projects through to their conclusion always striving to exceed expectations.My IT consultancy and technical skills are wide and varied. I have been working with PCs since 1995, and with every iteration of Microsoft Windows since Windows '95. Working freelance with private individuals as well as with companies, including the NHS. I have years of experience with desktop and laptop PCs, servers and networking.I have worked on many websites, priding myself on meeting web standards. Working in PHP, JS, WordPress and other web technologies I have built and worked upon sites that range from simple private home pages to large eCommerce sites, utilising MySQL databases for the dynamic content.

    Built and implemented a bespoke PHP and MySQL website and backend solution. Although I had built the original Nursery Online website using ASP and MS ODBC database technologies the site needed to move to a new host to provide better support for the growing demand on the business. I over-saw the move and liaised with the graphic designer tasked with producing the new site design.From the graphic designers Photoshop layouts I devised the web version and produced it using search engine friendly code to allow the website to be as accessible as possible to crawls by the search engines.The project was completed at the beginning of 2013.
