  In 2004 it was the right time to set up my own business called Rungis Market Direct. The business took me to one of the biggest food markets in the world, based in Paris, called Rungis Market to source, procure, import and distribute some of the finest foods available to hotels and restaurants across the Midlands. The business took me to one of the biggest food markets in the world, based in Paris, called Rungis Market to source, procure, import and distribute some of the finest foods available to hotels and restaurants across the Midlands. This business grew and in 2007 our reputation attracted the attention of a fine foods company called Ritter Courivaud Ltd. It was agreed that I would stock and sell their products and my business become the Leicester Depot of Ritter Courivaud Ltd. I remained self-employed, under a new company name of Inventive Ingredients, as the General Manager of the Leicester Depot, expanding the business year on year. In 2016 Inventive Ingredients was purchased on a 4 year deal to end in March 2020 with myself remaining self-employed as the Leicester Depot General Manager.Subsequently Ritter Courivaud Ltd. sold their business to the Booker Group and then the Booker Group merged with the Tesco Group. This resulted in June 2017 me becoming an employee of the Tesco Group due to IR35 tax regulations. This employment contract was on a fixed term basis as the Leicester Depot General Manager until the end of my original 4 year purchase deal ending on 17 March 2020. Show less
