The Field Applications Engineer (FAE) is the customer-facing technical engineering and application consultant for a number of strategic customers. The FAE is responsible for growing business via the project pipeline and converting these opportunities to design wins.Providing full customer support in all technical-related topics and lead and facilitate application-level discussions at assigned customers.Identifying the needs of the customer and, together with the customer, finding appropriate solutions.Proactively interface and communicate with the customer to build and maintain strong relationships.Getting advanced and early information on roadmaps, components and modules by attending supplier trainings in person and via conference calls.Utilizing an advanced understanding of the customer needs and technical challenges to propose the best possible design topology and components as a solution. Understand the customer’s strategy and technology roadmap, the market, competition, and trends to identify current and future customer needs.Drive the design-in and development of new products and / or platforms.Getting advanced and early information on roadmaps, components and modules by attending supplier trainings in person and via conference calls.Utilizing an advanced understanding of the customer needs and technical challenges to propose the best possible design topology and components as a solution. I received training on components from the leading semiconductor brands e.g. Analog Devices, Texas Instruments, NXP (Freescale), ST Micro, Cypress, On-Semi, Fairchild, Microchip, Atmel and supported design-in of analog and digital components including microcontrollers.

As the main technical resource I supported sales and was the main technical driver regarding the system testing/approval of Access points, Beacons, web dashboard/portal and native iOS/Android apps.Testing new access point with the capability to push iOS and Android apps directly from memory to the phones when the phones were in range of the wifi access point.Architectured an ultra low cost indoor wayfinding solution.Designed a system with Native apps for Android and iOS phones to select kitchen components from a predefined list of components defined by the kitchen consultant via a web portal.The project consist of the following components:An SQL database:Contains all kitchen components + locations in each store.Information about what is available for the customer to select from for their project sale.The customers selection.A web portal:The kitchen consultant can maintain all available kitchen components.Which parts can be selected by the customer for the individual project sales.The consultant can see and edit what was selected by the customer.A native App (iOS and Android):The customer can see what the standard components for the project sale is.The customer can select among the allowed components for his appartment.The customer can visit a store and be guided to the location of the components to see how they look.The customer can send messages to the consultant regarding the selection or other remarks.The customer can edit the selections and when completely done "submit" the choices he made.Web services to exchange data between database and mobile devices. Developing RF products and "fibre to the home" products.Designing TV/Radio Antenna signal amplifiers, splitters and filters.Optimized the design of Comega DA-xPMR bidirectional amplifiers for better performance and better lifetime.Optimized ESD protection, Bias, Directional coupler Linearity, Gain equalizer and splitter filters.Optimized EMC for a FTTH (Fibre to the home) product for it to be LTE compliant and to be able to work in areas with a high radiated UHF signal (in the vicinity of TV broadcast antennas). Developing a best in class loopthrough Multimedia antenna outlet with 2 data ports, 1 TV port, 1 FM (Full band) port with best in class return loss, filtering and loss.Developing customer specific bandstop/bandpass filters.Unfortunately the in house RF development was terminated.
