I was fortunate to gain a placement at the esteemed liverpool practice of Rupert Grantley Lowe LLP for the summer of 2010 where I gained experience in a number of building related issues including Dilapidation surveys, Structural defects analysis, Building pathology, Party Wall procedures and disputes, Historical building survey/measurement, building inspections, feasibility appraisals, architectural design and cost and procurement advice.

Set up my own company in 2003 and secured a number of contracts with the Strong Group working on various construction and maintenance projects throughout the U.K.

Achieved my D.C.A. after 6 months rigorous training and testing in various venues across the country. Worked as a pro coach at david Lloyd tennis centre in Speke, Liverpool. I am still a member of the BTCA.

In 2000 I joined Merseytravel as a Facilities Officer, enabling me to achieve a valuable insight into the public sector transport system and traffic technology. In my role within Merseytravel I oversaw the maintenance and repair of all bus station facilities equipment, I managed a small team of maintenance operatives, undertook daily health and safety checks, risk assessments, induction training of new operatives and ensured the relevant periodic maintenance of facilities were undertaken correctly. I was responsible for the Health and Safety of all the stakeholders, and ensured all legislation was relevant and up to date.

In 1997 I joined the Liverpool Ranger service gaining a wide spectrum of experiences including public speaking, liaising with the public in local forums, working in schools and youth clubs and exposure to a positive and versatile approach to a specialized job. Whilst in the Ranger Service I became involved with many local projects and events, which in turn gave me the opportunity to meet with local forums and partnerships.

After serving a 4 year apprenticeship in plumbing I worked in the city council as a mobile plumber, and eventually Plumbing Foreman. I managed to forge strong relationships with Management, Tradesmen and Stakeholders.
