As the Executive Director of Brisbane based Providore & Co, Peter has spent twenty five years in the hospitality industry, and champions the fact that coffee simply brings people together. Although his first foray into the hospitality sector started at just sixteen, it didn’t take him long to specialise in all things caffeine. By weaving together his experience in sales, training, business and hospitality, Peter launched Providore & Co was launched in 2016 on the values of integrity, positivity and sustainable growth.Today, Providore & Co provides an alternative to the large scale and impersonal food supply vendors. Valuing quality over quantity, Peter hand selects his top recommendations for coffees and teas, along with the relevant accessories that Brisbane hospitality outlets need in order to make the most of them.In addition, Providore & Co now roast their own coffee in house, and run a successful Providore & Co Training Academy with five different courses for participants to learn and improve their coffee skills.Despite being up against some big names, Peter’s approach to coffee is all about pouring his heart and soul into his locally operated family owned business, which has elevated Provider & Co to becoming an integral part of the Brisbane hospitality scene.When he’s not busy conquering the world of coffee, Peter can often be found attending to his other big passion: his family. As a self professed soccer nut, he also dedicated large amounts of his time to support and sponsor the Olympic FC Soccer Club, as well as participating in various events hosted by Brisbane’s Greek community, such as the annual Paniyiri Festival.Ultimately, Peter’s vision has always been to be so much more than just another sales rep, and combining his passions for coffee and small business is at the core of everything he does at Providore & Co.
