Joined SAFC as a development analytical chemist, using H-NMR, ICP-OES, ICP-MS. My role included method development for the semi conductor suppliers. The methods developed focussed around trace analysis of metal organics. I was promoted to analytical supervisor and then manager. During this time, I obtained my NEBOSH, IOSH, management diploma as well as becoming a trained risk assesor involved in process hazard reviews, Hazops and Swifts.After years, I was asked to extend my management skills into production. I was promoted to a large scale production process manager as well as continuing my analytical role. After 2 years of improving both the efficiency and safety of the process, I was promoted to extend my role to manage all gas processes on site. These processes involve the production of very toxic and flammable material which are both high output processes.My role has also involved process improvement, leading to savings of over £500, 000.During the last 18 months I have been a key member of a core team of 5 to implement SAP over 2 sites globally including the US.
