Director of Safety and Sanitation / Quality Assurance overseeing all aspects of Food Safety, Sanitation, and Recalls for 3 Regions, 12 Districts and over 150 Food Service and 600 Vending accounts.Directly responsible for identifying FDA and USDA Recalls and ensure that all recalls are handled in accordance with local, state, federal, and provincial statutes, regulations, and jurisdictional ordinances.Responsible for creating monthly training modules including principals of Food Sanitation, Kitchen Safety, OSHA Safety, to be in compliance with local, state, federal, and provincial statutes, regulations, and jurisdictional ordinances.Responsible to conduct unannounced “No Excuse Inspection Assessments” of all Food Service and Vending accounts to ensure continuous adherence to internal Sanitation and Safety standards, which are set forth in our comprehensive Quality Assurance. American Food and Vending’s sanitation, safety and quality assurance meet or exceed all local, state, federal, provincial statutes, regulations, and jurisdictional ordinances.In charge of tracking ServSafe Food, ServSafe Liquor, NAMA Vending training and We Value Safety of all operation throughout American Food and Vending to ensure 100 percent compliance.Responsible for American Food and Vending’s Quality Assurance Manual including the principals of HACCP, GMP’s for Purchasing, Receiving, Storage, Preparation and Production.In charge of creating engineering tools and training to reduce the potential hazardous risk factors that could lead to a Workman’s compensation claim.Trained two Districts in the principals of Food Cost reduction without jeopardizing food quality by implementing the “8-Steps of Food Cost Control”, which included Ordering, Receiving, Storage, Issuing, Production, Portioning , Pricing, Cash Collection and getting your Staff involved.
