Independent Researcher based in Cambridge. My research interest lie at the intersection of Computer Science, Economics, Mathematics and Statistics. I specialize in getting large systems to work well, creating the right incentives for end users to achieve this. I have a particular interest in Network related problems, as found in Communication Networks, Computer Networks, Social Networks, Learning Networks and Ad Networks. I like to keep one foot in the Academic world, and one foot in the Applied world. I have published widely in Computer Science, AI, OR, and Mathematics.

    I took on more of an individual contributor role, while jointly running the Systems and Networking team.Managed a Constraint Programming Team, transferred their research involving Dissolver, a constraint solver package, into Microsoft Solver Foundation.Initiated new research in MSR Cambridge in wireless, linking performance modelling with practical MAC design protocols. We built a wireless testbed, to try out these ideas and looked at SDR (software defined radio). We designed and built a novel MAC which uses full-duplex transmission over a single channel - the first in the world.
