I took on more of an individual contributor role, while jointly running the Systems and Networking team.Managed a Constraint Programming Team, transferred their research involving Dissolver, a constraint solver package, into Microsoft Solver Foundation.Initiated new research in MSR Cambridge in wireless, linking performance modelling with practical MAC design protocols. We built a wireless testbed, to try out these ideas and looked at SDR (software defined radio). We designed and built a novel MAC which uses full-duplex transmission over a single channel - the first in the world.

Responsible for research direction, and tech transfer. The team won several best paper awards at top-tier International conferences, and shipped the Network Map to Vista.
