Led development of a suite of technologies in collaboration with a large multi-disciplinary team of scientists at UT Austin. As VP, I directed the company to focus on the core oil recovery technique and created and executed an intellectual property strategy to "ring-fence" the core technology with additional filings. I managed the development work to prove the oil recovery technology in the field, and developed plans to target immediately addressable oil and gas markets as well as renewable oil markets. Management role contributing strategic resource analysis and drug discovery research program management input to executive management in support of alliance partnerships and internal priorities. Led project management function for $100MM research alliance portfolio.Continued intrapreneur role as company's "go to" problem solver, devising solutions to mission-critical challenges.

Recruited internally to manage the company's 3 year, $12M Hypertension Alliance with Takeda Pharmaceutical company (Japan). The Hypertension Alliance working group considered more than 4000 unique targets for blood pressure modulation over the three year alliance and developed new pharmacological challenge models for knockout mice. Over this timeframe, I devised disruptive solutions to several ongoing operational bottlenecks that changed the way the company operated. The solutions I proposed and instituted significantly enhanced the company's ability to execute contractually obligated deliverables in alliance relationships with Organon, Genentech and Bristol Meyers Squibb.

Identified opportunities, built teams and led multiple process re-engineering initiatives across the company to maximize cost-effectiveness of the company's Genome5000 program. Identified and implemented disruptive technologies to create permanent strategic advantages and massive productivity gains and achieve "impossible" goals. $50MM business impact was achieved from these initiatives. Created and implemented a vision for growth and total quality management prior to the company's hyper-growth phase.
