As a young child growing up in Slovakia, I spent my first couple of "awesome" winter holidays playing Prince of Persia on Intel 286 computer. As my dad brought his work computer for the holidays, I was amazed by the technology and felt very very special, since nobody else had one at that time. Pressing down the arrow keys and swinging prince's sword with the space-bar was the best experience of my life. Time seemed to fly by and the only touch of reality was my mom's voice telling me to eat and to go play outside. When I reflect back, that was the most important experience that led me to work in this field. To me it was a magic and I wanted to be a part of it. I would open the computer and just stare at the parts for a while and then close it back. I would repeat this multiple times, without having any clue of what was what. After a while, I wanted to understand how something this fun worked and functioned. I was "hooked". Developers learn, create, invent, improve, apply logic, use various tools, tinker with things, search for ideas, enhance code examples and make things better, they make magic.
