After five years in the department Strategy, Corporate Development and M&A where he was responsible e.g. for the development of the corporate strategy as well as external growth options and the implementation of VERBUND’s risk return model he actually works in the department energy economics and business management. His main activities focus on the management of the trade and sales activities, trend monitoring and the development of new products and services. He is also responsible for the strategic cooperations with industrial customers.Before joining VERBUND AG he was Senior Analyst at the Austrian Regulatory Authority E-Control. Peter Koch was responsible for issues concerning retail customers and retail competition (e.g. he headed the sector inquiry electricity market for the competition authority) as well as the tariff calculator.
