About Peter Kruizinga
Studied Economic and Social History at Radboud University in Nijmegen. After masterstudies I worked as a PhD candidate at Utrecht University on a thesis about labour regulation in the building industry. My interests in adult education brought me a function in the largest trade union, FNV, where I developed educational programs for union members, volunteers and professionals, soon became manager of the educational department. My focus on labour relations and HRM led me to switching to higher education, where I managed the programs of HRM, Social Work, Management in Caretaking and Nursing.A new project was the development of the Bachelor Program Vitality & Tourism Management, from 2008. Here I could work out my interest in wellbeing and awareness for health, which I had since long time. Developing a whole new field of interest, working together with entrepreneurs to make it state of the art, is challenging and led to a PhD research, on which I am now working at Wageningen University.
