I run a one man consultancy providing expertise on Risk management, Value management and Project Management with a particular emphasis on setting up systems and training rather than running routine studies. I am also a part time lecturer in Project Management at Leeds Metropolitan University and work with a number of other consultancies and training.

Following working as a Programme Manager (below) I became Yorkshire Water's Risk and Value manager. In this role I initially led the development of a risk based process for analysing investment needs to allow projects to be compared on a common basis to assist portfolio management. This methodology was hailed by the regulator, Ofwat, as industry leading. I.

I worked for Yorkshire Water for 32 years. commencing as a graduate technician in technical roles, particularly in waste water treatment, then moving to operational management of both water and waste water treatment works. Various operational management roles followed ending with Area Manager (Hull and East Yorkshire). I then moved into the investment area.
