Core Responsibilities: Accountable for managing total cost productivity, inventory reduction and pay terms; ensures supplier performance for fill-rate, delivery, quality and contract compliance, with approximately $56M raw material metals spend. Responsible to identify and establish a commodity strategy and a globally competitive supply base for steel and other metals. Supports the Director, Supply Chain to develop long-term supplier agreements and strategic alliances on a global basis through onsite supplier audits, quarterly performance reviews, and negotiations. Leads commodity and cross functional teams and continuous improvement initiatives on a project basis for internal processes

Responsible for all logistics, planning, inventory management, and purchasing and sourcing activities both domestically and in low cost countries. Reports to the Sr VP of Key Systems North America. Ensure that supply chain activities are performed in such a way to ensure the right product is available at the right time to achieve the overall inventory management objectives while maximizing customer service and manufacturing productivity. Responsibilities: Develop and manage the monthly S&OP Sales and Operations Planning process to optimize the supply and demand flow for all of North American operations. Interface with Sales management and customer service to facilitate forecasting, allocation, and inventory management. Manage all inventory levels consistent with company targets Manage departments that make up the supply chain organization production planning, purchasing, and logistics . Expand use and understanding of company's MRP system within organization for optimal planning, production, and use, as a management tool. Interface with other functional groups Production, Quality, Sales, Finance, HR, and Engineering to meet current/future requirements and improve processes that require interdepartmental cooperation. Support supply chain departments and employees in resolving issues while maintaining their responsibility and accountability. Evaluate employees, identify departmental needs and promote growth of all individuals. Perform succession planning reviews to identify bench strength issues and establish remediation plans. Make sure appropriate measurable are in place to track and improve the performance of the group. My group is always one of the top performers in year over year savings and receives accolades on our cost control activities (last year $1.2 million) through tough negotiations and strategic sourcing both globally and domestically.
