Electronic Arts European E-commerce business (Origin) was in need of integration into the broader European business. I hired a management team, and then integrated this fledgling business into the broader European company.

As General Manager of Electronic Arts businesses in Germany, Switzerland and Eastern Europe, I was responsible for a $600m, with over 350 direct and indirect reports. I was the Managing Directory of the legal entities in these markets, and had extensive finance and other responsibilities.I was responsible for growing the Russian business from a $10m to a business approaching $50m in just two years. I restructured our ABC distribution business in Switzerland (ABC sells video games, computers, mobile phones and other high tech products in Manor, Migros and other retailers).I guided Electronic Arts Deutschland back onto a growth path, with notable successes on FIFA and Battlefield. I helped develop innovative relationships with key retailers such as MediaMarkt and amazon.de significantly improving mutual profitability.

Managed publishing in a range of territories ranging from Benelux through to Nordics, from Eastern Europe through to Turkey.Set up Electronic Arts distribution in a number of markets, including Russia and the Middle East.

As General Manager of this sub-region I was responsible for setting up a 'go-direct' office in Poland, Russia, Czech and Hungary, increasing revenues 1000% in just three years. This required extensive knowledge of internal systems and process, logistics options, finance and tax compliance, marketing and sales. I managed a team of 50 staff, achieving a combined turnover of just under $100m, and an EA market share double that of other markets.
