I serve as the technical lead of a portfolio dedicated to advancing digital human modeling and decision guidance tools for warfighter chronic health risk modeling and optimization. My team develops the infrastructure and algorithms to:1) Leverage wearables and reduced sensor sets to quantify musculoskeletal response to physical environmental exposures2) Characterize physical risk to the spine through streamlined musculoskeletal modeling3) Inform/develop decision guidance tools for embedded care providers and aircrew life cycle managementThe goal is to transition capabilities for turnkey processing from sensors through modeling to information guidance while reducing the need for a subject matter expert to operate the system.Specific focus areas include: wearables, AI/ML sparse sensing, rigid body musculoskeletal modeling, clinical decision guidance tools, aircrew neck/back pain, long endurance operationsOther areas of interest include: model based systems engineering, digital engineering, extended reality, visual interactions, exoskeletons, physical responses to cognitive loading, en route care, seat design, and vibration.
