Quality Assurance Management and testing of Websites, E-Mail and other Electronic Media. Working with project managers, programmers, network engineers, customers and end users, I ensure the quality control of a project during its lifecycle by checking for compliance and accuracy in the different phases including project goals, design, coding, usability testing, unit testing, functional testing, ADA compliance, regression and pre-release testing, data collection and analysis. My skill set as a technical writer and ISO 9000 auditor allow for a structured testing methodology and allow for good communications with all members of the project team.

Responsible for quality control of direct marketing material received in multiple formats during different cycles of production. Following a product through its different stages of development from concept to preprocess, layout, post process and client approval, I was able to guarantee a high level of quality was maintained. I was instrumental in streamlining the business process from an all paper, manual system, to an electronic system that allows for auditing and life cycle control based on the ideals of ISO 9000, of which I am a certified Auditor.

Working with small independent software developers to write technical and user manuals for software programs. Adept at turning technical concepts into clear, concise copy that resonates with target audiences. Ability to quickly grasp complex subject matter, and write copy in a similar tone and style for case studies, white papers, user guides, documentation, process documents, and marketing materials. This position, though mostly volunteer for shareware authors, hones my technical writing skills and expands my office computing skills.

Instrumental in Blackwell's achieving their ISO 9001 certification which has led to greater efficiency and production. Trained and Certified as ISO Auditor, authored the ISO procedures documentation for New Titles East division. As part of the companywide implementation committee, reviewed ISO 9000 certification plans, policies and procedures. Authored manuals and procedures per ISO 9000 certification requirements for management, Quality Assurance (QA), manufacturing, customer service, pick and pack, and shipping personnel. Acted as an auditor for other departments to achieve compliancy.Support Editor (2004-2010)Profile editor for book categorization, author and edit book profiles to be used by libraries, assign and track subject coding conventions to profiles. As a senior editor, responsibilities also included constant improvement of workflow efficiencies, client problem solving, providing computer support and training, general office management, documentation and procedure writing.

Managed the day to day operations of a busy financial management office of forty professionals. Responsibilities included scheduling, staffing, workflow, human resource interfacing, office accounting, computer support, software training, purchasing and financial compliancy reporting. By acting as liaison between senior management, advisors, employees, and clients, I was able to ensure proper lines of communication critical to addressing problems and issues requiring immediate attention. My efficient office management skills allowed the financial advisors to spend more time being customer focused and increase sales opportunities, and less time on paperwork, while still being compliant with all financial reporting rules.

Responsible for quality control of entire New Titles product by proof reading and correcting work submitted by editing staff of twenty five. "Go to" person for problem solving including staffing issues, customer relations and claims, book profiling issues, procedures training, management reporting, computer support, communications interface to other internal departments and management.
