I'm currently an English language instructor in northern Japan teaching junior high school students. I rotate among 4 of 11 junior high schools in the greater Hanamaki area. My classes consists of 7th through 9th grade level and special education classes. I plan, create and instruct lesson plans according to Japanese instructors' needs. Moving from a heavily congested city such as Los Angeles to the serene countryside of Hanamaki has been a life improvement decision.Prior to moving to Japan, I worked for 7 years, as a segment producer, for the now-defunct cable network, G4. I managed segments from conception to production in all phases of production. I credit my years at G4 for much of my personal growth as a person and as a professional.I've put my years in television production to good use in how my students learn English in Japan. I keep my lessons fun, engaging and productive in order to keep my students waning attention span. The goal is always to have the students learn proactively and passively, without them even knowing it.

I provide native level language expertise to Japanese teachers and students. I plan, create and instruct lesson plans based on Japanese instructors' needs. My goal for every class is total English immersion. When students understand grammar points taught entirely in English then I've done my job well.Aside from instructing English grammar points, I'm also an ambassador of American culture. I interact and share my experiences of living in the U.S. as well as my struggles of living abroad.
