Responsable for a team of engineers carrying out breakdown coverage, project work, T.P.M and P.P.M on the plant and machinery within the Finishing / polybagging operation..Health and Safety.Several installation projects regarding innovation, development, new machinery testing and plant upgrades.Improvement projects and developement of products and portfolio.Achieving KPI's regarding machine uptime, performance and reliability.Reducing running costs through improved performance and reduction of Repair & Maintenance spend.

On completing my apprenticeship at the Thames refinery i was employed as a Shift Engineer installing and based in the new 1KG packing department. Worked with the Swiss / German / Danish installation Engineers on installing the new lines SIG / Dan and Gunti and trained to troubleshoot and carry out TPM & PPM on the lines.Progressed to covering all the packaging and production machinery within the 1KG, Specialities department, Milling house, Natronag sack filling plant and 1 Ton Portabulk filling plus all auxhillary and associated services and plant. Responsible for breakdown and planned maintenance coverage on various plant and production machinery within the refinery.Worked on several plant installations within the high speed packaging and production area and project work to include Health & safety / performance improvement / continuous improvement / cost savings and driving good practices. plus implementing planned maintenance programs.Became The Mechanical Engineering Expert for the packaging / production area.Multi skilled to incorporate other trades including welding, basic electrics/ electronics, pneumatics & hydraulics.

Served an Indetured apprenticeship as a plant, packaging and production engineer in the Thames Refinery Silvertown and Plaistow Wharf London. Attended the internal training school and East Ham Technical college.Completed apprenticeship training devised and managed by the EITB.Hands on experience gained through working in the various departments within the Thames Refinery and at Plaistow Wharf. A focus on specialising in packaging and production.
