The trust is a social enterprise which seeks to rehabilitate and employ paroled prisoners. My role was to step in where previous gardening contracts had been neglected. I was able to complete a major garden restoration contract allowing new work to be released; I carried out hard landscaping work, maintained the conference centre and wildlife garden and cleared a site for the channel 4 documentary - Homes for Heroes. I also trained 2 individuals, one of which went on to be employed by a local landscaping firm.

A local authority post providing tree care, this included aerial and ground work. Alongside technical qualifications the job required a working knowledge of UK law and statutory designations, species identification and plant health. I worked with the public services providing emergency cover, and engaged with schools and communities to discuss improvement works.

Festival head steward, coordinating teams and overseeing stewarding activities for a small events business. Events included Guilfest, Uttoxeter Acoustic Festival and Green Valley arts.

Whilst in the post I was responsible for updating the department's web presence and digitising surveys for the biodiversity records centre. Out of office I worked on designated sites delivering management plans and access works. I worked alongside groups including the archeologically society, education providers and the national trust. I was a minute taker for the local biodiversity action group and was the lead on producing habitat network maps. I wrote and co-ordinated a joint grant project between the local environment centre and planning authority, drawing down £250,000 in grant funding, to be distributed between 18 woodland sites. I carried out local consultations to select sites of value amongst the community. These were then selected to become part of a woodland network.I set up a volunteer project to map the extent of Himalayan Balsam along the waterways of Gower ANOB. I had the benefit working alongside ecologists, education staff and planning officials who guided me through the practicalities of delivering policy at various levels.2006-Onwards Acoustic Festival of Britain Head StewardThe Acoustic Festival of Britain attracts over 10,000 people per day. I manage a group of 60 volunteers, working closely with contractors and artists to ensure the event proceeds smoothly. Over the years I have trained a number of team leaders who take responsibility for specialist teams across the festival. Alongside personnel management I also liaise with police teams and traders to solve issues as they arise.

Practical work comprised of delivering access management plans across the county. I supervised and trained a number of volunteers on projects and developed a range of practical skills. Whilst in the team I studied countryside legislation and became familiar with best practice methods for working on protected sites. I was involved in landowner consultation, and coordinated works during the introduction of the CROW act, which introduced the right to roam on selected areas of private land.
