CLIA is the worlds largest cruise industry trade association, providing a unified voice and leading authority of the global cruise community. We support policies and practices that foster a safe, secure, healthy and sustainable cruise ship environment for the more than 24 million passengers who cruise annually.

Responsible for promoting, marketing and managing the cruise business segment for the Port of Charleston. Oversee the leasing, sale and license of real estate property interests of the SCPA.

I personally negotiated and the first 10-year Cruise ship contract for Charleston, growing it to a 100+ ship per year business resulting in Charleston becoming one of the top Cruise destinations on the East Coast.

I was an Adjunct Faculty member at each of these Colleges/Universities teaching classes in International Business, Business Law, Hospitality Law, Communications and Speech.

I was responsible for the overall operations of the SCWTC-C including the marketing of all activities throughout the State of South Carolina and regionally: Selling memberships; Corporate fund-raising, strategic planning; Management of staff and budget; Directing, conceiving and executing international programs aimed at increasing international trade and business: I represented the SCWTC-C at numerous professional functions locally, regionally, nationally and internationally.

We represented New Jersey Companies at International Trade Shows in Latin America, Europe and Asia to showcase their products and introduce them to new markets globally. For many companies, this was their first foray into the global marketplace. We also conducted reverse investment missions (now called economic development) and helped place foreign companies into New Jersey.

I was a summer law clerk at The USDOJ, Office of the General Counsel, INS for two summers, 1983 and 1984. We prepared briefs and motions for hearings before the Federal Courts, The U.S. Congress and the Board of Immigration Appeals.
