At HOMER Learning, I was brought on to aid in the migration to a new backend database system, to integrate Stripe as a payment provider, and enhance the account management user experience. These initiatives were finished within my first year, and I shifted my focus to improving developer experience and enabling my team to move faster.---- - Overhaul account management dashboard in NextJS React SPA, and add features for visualizing a child's learning progress. - Migrated database system to AWS Appsync GraphQL backend. - Run A/B tests using Google Optimize to increase conversion rate of eCommerce funnel. - Implement Stripe payment provider, reducing subscriptions fees from App Store 30% to Stripe 5%. - Optimize NextJS bundles to reduce page load times, resulting in 66% size reduction of critical rendering path code. - Enforced modern frontend best practices by implementing ESLint and Jest test suites. - Optimized CI/CD Jenkins pipeline to reduce build and deploy times from 15 minutes to 5 minutes.

At Synacor I was brought in to develop the new att.net experience. This included implementing microfrontends for weather, sports, finance, location, and horoscopes; as well as modernizing existing infrastructure for scale.After completing the initial att.net project, I moved on to developing the new modern Zimbra X client built for the cloud. This was a greenfield Preact application built with Apollo GraphQL to be a modern experience for Zimbra Mail Server. I acted as subject matter expert on front end build systems and tooling, including Webpack, Mocha/Chai test suites, custom ESLint/Prettier configurations, and CI/CD and automation.---- - Developed Preact microfrontends for weather, sports, location, and finance built for https://att.net. - Lead development of https://zimbracloud.com email client, including Mail, Contacts, Calendar, and Zimlet plugin system. - Worked with Product and Designers to create and implement mockups from Zeplin. - Create white-label hybrid Electron/web application with extensive customization and theming for over a dozen clients. - Created CI/CD build system with automated NPM publishing based on semantic Git commits. - Maintained React front build tooling of Webpack based CLI. - Maintainer for Preact open source libraries preact-i18n and wiretie.
