International Agricultural Development And Vocational Training Consultant
CurrentPeter Lenhardt, PhD is a senior independent agricultural development, production and agricultural vocational training and education (ATVET) consultant with more than three decades of experience in Africa and Canada. Currently Dr Lenhardt is engaged in short term assignments with the World Bank to conduct portions of its Agricultural Sector Risk Assessment for Namibia, and GIZ funded ATVET for AUDA-NEPAD and CAADP. Prior to that he was with the German funded Project: Promotion of Vocational Training Education and Training in Namibia in a team of consultants fielded by Integration International Management Consultants for GIZ. Using an industry-guided DACUM-style approach the team developed a set of innovative National Vocational Certificates in Agriculture for the Namibia Training Authority. Peter's work focussed on the horticulture and crops certificates. From 2016 to 2018 he was located in north eastern Namibia to support preparations for and actual implementation of this ATVET approach by three Vocational Training Providers.
