An Instructional Assistance provides tutoring to individual (one-on-one) or small groups (three or more) of undergraduate students who require additional help to understand a course or topical material. In this context, I will be an instructional assistant to students of the UCSD's Education Studies' Partners at Learning (PAL) Program, where students will have an introduction to theoretical and practical issues in P-12 education by incorporating both academic work and fieldwork components into the course structure.

- Facilitated a 6-week summer youth program that revolves around working with middle and high school students from the Westlake/Pico-Union area, on a project in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics). - Led a summer program where students formed groups of 5-6 to design and build a sustainable society using recycled materials, fostering understanding of societal development factors and STEAM's impact. Empowering youth to enact community improvements aligned with their vision.- Led weekly field trips to various and unique destinations related to the field of STEAM throughout Los Angeles County.

- Managed student caseload of 10-15 students in college practicum course with the education sciences department, addressing students needs and communicating with practicum director to ensure students are proactive in their sites.- Assisted in facilitating grading and discussion section workshops for 10-15 students in college practicum course to connect learning from theory to practice at students’ practicum sites as academic tutors and mentors within low-income, Title I schools in the San Diego Unified School District.

Howard Foundation’s Internship Program is dedicated to improving the participation of diverse and underrepresented groups in the media and entertainment industry. This is accomplished by recruiting diverse and underrepresented college students from public and private academic institutions across the country.In addition to a full-time paid summer internship, the Foundation’s comprehensive approach to diversity also provides talented interns with networking opportunities, professional development training, scholarships, mentors and much more!

- Facilitated a 7-week program that educated and served 36 total middle school and high school students from the Westlake-Pico Union neighborhood of Los Angeles on college and career readiness and preparation (ie. Job Readiness and Etiquette, Financial Literacy for Students, Colleges and its Different Variations, the Academic Experience of College, How to Be Well-Rounded Students, and How to Write Personal Statements)- Coordinated 8 field trips that took 30-100 students to various, wondrous locations within the City of Los Angeles for purposes of exploration and recreation (ie. Vista Hermosa National Park, City Hall, Dodger Stadium, BMO Stadium, Will Rogers State Beach)- Assisted in serving 600+ underprivileged families from the Westlake-Pico neighborhoods of Los Angeles by providing food, clothing, hygiene products, and enrichment services through company-wide events (ie. CCNP Summer Bash, CCNP Open House)

● Managed a $50,000 financial budget to use for events to represent the Associated Students’ Office of College Affairs and First-Year Fellowship.● Established event logistics (ie. marketing, tabling, etc.) and collaborated with AS fellows to produce 5 student events that hosted 200-300+ students both virtually and in-person throughout the academic year.

Conducted research and proposed possible Sister Cities that Sister Cities of Los Angeles, a non-profit organization funded by the City of Los Angeles should have to establish maintain international diplomacy. Organized and collected information regarding city government directory, international and city diplomacy within Los Angeles, and various "Sister Cities."

Selected from 800+ students across the Greater Los Angeles Area to participate in TIP 2021 Summer CohortSuccessfully completed an 8-week professional development training course with industry leaderswhile simultaneously interning at Sister Cities of Los Angeles

This internship taught me about the different career pathways of STEAM industries through its guest speakers. Additionally, this internship taught me the skill sets and tools needed to be ready for actual jobs in the work field, and it allowed me to meet other high school students and young adults around LA who were also interested in gaining some knowledge and work-readiness opportunities.

Conducted research to assess the impact of student interns on employer's internshipprograms during COVID-19. Proposed and presented solutions for pedagogy and instruction to LAUSD Employees, and the Clubhouse Network and Bresee Foundation employees of maintaining high school programs for non-profit organizations during COVID-19.

Mentored and academically assisted more than 40, low-income, middle school students from Virgil Middle School via an after school program at Bresee Foundation. Facilitated classroom behavior and tasks for program supervisors for the Goals for Life Program. Overseen the academic progress of students and tracking them, providing them guidance for success.
