 Manage whole engine team in the R&D center including equipment team, whole team operation, engine mechanical validation, engine performance and emission development, Engine Fuel system, ISO and engine homologation, and warranty parts inspection. Deliver the result of all engine validation and performance development and Fuel system in R&D center. Daily operation of all engine labs. Engine assembling/disassembling and failure analysis. Responsible for R&D engine division capability development in term of equipment and people. Work with facility team to conduct and target the cost saving activities.  Legislation tracking for IC engine and engine homologation. Logistic management of R&D center. Managing budget for all division in term of labor, IME, internal charges. Capital management of engine division. Engine team competency development. Work with purchasing on equipment sourcing. Strategic and tactical coordination with other Caterpillar facilities in China. Responsible for equipment installation and commissioning to meet projects needs. Work closely with customers to update current projects status and plan on coming projects. Support the team on problem solving. Sponsor of 6 sigma projects. ISO 17025 certification.

 Responsible for Jialing150 and Jialing125 EMS projects. Support automobile EMS calibration during hot/cold and high altitude trip and some engine test bed calibration. Project management for these projects. EMS hardware selection and validation and software upgrade.  Responsible for training customers on EMS calibration. Coordinate to solve quality issues and work on continuous improvement Provide technical support to purchasing/supplier, manufacturing and other related areas.

 Responsibility for Powertrain system calibration on the engine test bench. Responsible for engine test bench operation. Solve the product quality issue. Responsible for new processors Testing process planning, transferring and introduction. Improve test equipment reliability, productivity and deploy Process Control System. Maintain/calibration of engine test bed equipment. Trouble-shooting of Engine test bed equipment.

 Establish the Chunlan engine laboratory Responsibility for installation, maintain, calibration of all the engine test equipments including AVL PUMA test bench, AVL chassis Dyno , AVL emission test system ,and some engine test bench made by TIANJIN University. Manage the daily lab operation, and develop lab capacity. Responsibility for entire test process in all new product development, such as the application of electronic fuel injection (EFI) system for the CHUNLAN 244FM, 125cc, four stroke, two cylinders. Designed part of hardware of the EMS system, such as the throttle body. Take part in the EMS calibration task. Manage lab test staff and run multi-shift operation.
