I have knowledge and experience in agile software development, green sustainability initiatives, IoT, data analytics, machine learning, computer vision, robotics, autonomous vehicles, command & control, sensor & shooter, rapid prototyping, modelling & simulation (M&S), wearables, immersive gears and have delivered complex System of Systems (SoS) solutions. In Nov 2023, I was invited to participate as member of National Mirror Working Group (NMWG) for ISO/TC 299/WG10, TR-93 Review and NWI Technical Working Group by Enterprise Singapore to support robotics interoperability standards. In addition, I have volunteered as OIA during the Singapore Airshow 2012 and assisted CE, DSTA and Directors to host the Korean delegations from the Defense Acquisition Program Administration and Ministry of National Defense. I joined GovTech on 3 Apr 2018 as the Deputy Director (Smart Nation Platform Solutions) and seconded to S&TPPO (Prime Minister’s Office) on 1 Apr 2023 as the Deputy Director (S&T Systems). I am currently formulating Enabling Instructure solutions for robotics, Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS), M&S and supporting a study for healthcare technologies. I was responsible to lead a team and deliver the Smart Lamppost and SNPS projects. I also conceptualised a navigation aid to assist the visually impaired persons to navigate safely. I have worked on a suite of C2, IoT and robotics solution for Air situation awareness, green sustainability initiatives, environmental sensing, and outpatient care. On 1 July 2017, I was appointed as the Deputy Director (Masterplanning & Architecture) in the Ministry of Home Affairs, with concurrent appointment as the Assistant Director (MHA Surveillance & Sensemaking) by the Defence Science & Technology Agency (DSTA). I was responsible to architect and plan the capability delivery for MHA C3 Systems, autonomous vehicles, sensors and training systems. In addition, I provided technical consultancy to the Home Team Departments during their initial capability planning. I also formulated a new C3 capability delivery roadmap for MHA and training technology roadmap for the Home Team Academy.
