I spent my first year in customer service before transitioning to underwriting for existing clients. I spent time as an Assistant Manager before taking on my current role as Manager.First National Financial is Canada's largest non-bank lender, originating, underwriting and servicing both residential and commercial mortgages. As the leading lender of CMHC and conventional mortgages, First National currently has more than $100 billion in mortgages under administration.I’ve had experience working with both existing and new clients. Some of the underwriting elements differ, but service to brokers is the same. Throughout my 20 years, I’ve had patient, understanding and approachable leaders and mentors. They have all had the utmost confidence in my abilities and encouraged me to think about where I wanted to go in the company. I am now able to translate that support and knowledge to my team, so they can succeed in their careers. For me, servicing brokers means picking up the phone to talk about deals, getting to know brokers and their businesses and building strong relationships.
