Important skills I acquired from the course includes how to program at a high-level, the benefits of and how to implement functional programming, test driven development, paired programming, and version control.The course included every stage of the programming development life-cycle; from front-end, to back-end, and full-stack development, to learning how to construct a project using base code such as JavasScript or basic HTML/CSS then to introduce frameworks to streamline the process such as with Express.js, Axios and PostgreSQL for back-end projects, or React for front-end projects.The final part of the course included self-training to learn new technologies, such as Firebase and React Native, to create a full-stack project with a group of peers across a 2 week time-frame. My role as a delivery assistant was to pull in the delivery when it arrived at the store, move it to the appropriate places in the stockroom so that it is ready to be voiced it, then use the internal voice system to record in the store's stock system which bay and bay position I was placing each item from that delivery, so that it could be "picked" or retrieved quickly from that place when a customer bought it.

My primary roles while working for HMV involved serving customers using the checkout system to sell them the products they wanted, making sure the displays where up-to-date according to the pricing and placement schedules the store kept for the section I worked in, and going through the shelves of current stock on the shop floor to ensure it was in the right order and place, moving it to the right place and order if it wasn't.

The responsibilities I had while working for Primark including serving customers using the till system, cleaning up the store to ensure it was not only neat and tidy, but also safe for customers and colleagues to move around in, and assisting any customers that needed such assist or that had queries to make sure they had the best shopping experience possible.

My role at Tesco involved a variety of different tasks; from replacing stock on the shelves that were being empty using extra either from the stockroom or top-level of the shelves themselves, to preparing and maintaining stock on shelves so that they always looked visually pleasing and easy to get to, and to assist customers with any of their needs while helping the other staff sections if they required aid.
