In my role i am responsible for the management of Capital Project Activities, Site Facilities, Maintenance and Security, and Manufacturing Equipment Maintenance for Catalent Micron Technologies. The position is responsible for identification along with implementation of preventative and predictive maintenance systems. This system is required to ensure that plant and facility equipment operate efficiently to minimize production interruptions and unscheduled downtime. I Work closely with Global Engineering on engineering processes and projects that effect short and long term planning and business goals. Manage all facility related outside contracts for maintenance services, contractors, vendors, and consultants. Will ensure all facilities maintain compliance with all government environmental and safety codes.

In my role as Operations Manager at Micron Technologies Ltd I am responsible for 20 members of staff in the Production and Warehousing areas, I am also responsible for Oversees activities related to Facilities, Capital planning, procurement, production, storage and handling, maintenance, and workforce including hiring/firing decisions, development of personnel and mentoring of employees. I have to ensure compliance with corporate policies and procedures as well as Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API) and current good manufacturing practices. I need to ensure Operations related Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s), work instructions and risk assessments are up to date and relevant to current practicesI help facilitate continuous process improvements to optimise plant efficiency while contributing to and completing improvement projects to improve plant facilities and systems. I have the overall responsibility for security and safety for site and all personnel. I also help manage operations expense budgets 2.5million, with a view to reducing associated costs.

As Planning and Plant Support Manager. I had 4 Planners and 10 members of the Plant Support Team.My main responsibilities were:The control of Planning staff to ensure batches were scheduled in accordance with customers requirements, dispensing and control of batches.The control of Plant Support staff and the resources to ensure efficient operation and proper supply of materials to manufacturing.To ensure appropriate GMP standards were set and achieved.Liaison with Customer Services and other sections to provide feedback on orders and decisions on short lead times where these could not be given by Planning.To ensure raw materials were purchased in accordance with MRP reports.To deal with customer complaints.Participation in customer QA audits at the Colorcon Dartford site.Managing department expense accounts.
