A part of the sales team for Mount Evelyn SUPA IGA, working with a focused and united team whilst learning and building skills integral to retail business activities. These include: cash management, stock management, sales, customer service and teamwork. As employees, the entire team has the assistance and advice of fully trained and highly skilled managers, supervisors and senior team members, however, we are fully expected to step up and tackle the management of time and tasks to maximise our productivity. The business provides for many opportunities to learn and build up skills in a safe, clean and professional environment, and to build a courteous and professional relationship with both our colleagues and loyal customers.

In 2012 I assumed the role of Crew Leader of the Bill Waters Rover Crew. As part of these responsibilities, I became the General Manager of the annual Christmas Trees Fundraiser. This of course means that I was required to manage many different challenges which face seasonally based small businesses, These include: accounting & finance management, stock management, sales, customer service, logistics and team leadership & management.I continued to have the backing, support, and advice of our Rover advisors and more expirienced former crew members. This is a support structure that I am currently very committed to working to extend and pass on to the current group of Rovers, who have now taken over the leadership and management roles.I was fully able to work very positively and constructively with our long standing fundraising partners Melbourne Animal Rescue and the Nunawading District Venturer Unit, and to bring in single season partners Leichhardt Rover Crew for the 2013 season, and 1st Nunawading Scout Group for the 2016 season. Also during my tenure I continued in my attempts to create and implement new and more efficient ways of managing operations and tracking our performance.During the 2017 season I took on much more of a mentoring and teaching role for the emerging leadership team, who would be taking over in full for the 2018 season. This is a role that I remain committed to into the future for as long as the Crew requires.

As Rovers, the entire team had the assistance and advice of fully trained and highly skilled Rover Advisors, however, as Rovers we were fully expected to step up and tackle the leadership and management tasks ourselves, and we had more freedom to determine the best way of conducting our fundraising activies.During this period we also successfully managed the creation and initial operation of a strong fundrasing partnership with Melbourne Animal Rescue.Whilst part of this team I created new tools for tracking and accounting for our sales and stock deliveries, these tools greatly improved and streamlined the processes for manageing fundraising operations.
