The best description of myself is that I bring people from the diverse communities I belong to together to accomplish something greater than any of us could individually. Looking forward to connecting with you.In 2011, I hosted a spare bedroom in my Chicago Loop condo on AirBnB for the first time while completing the Medical Scientist Training Program at the University of Illinois College of Medicine.In 2015, I took a leave of absence from my MD/PhD to co-founded LoPresti Ventures LLC to better manage my and my business partners' short term rental portfolio. In 2016, I joined Exit Strategy Realty as a licensed real estate broker and National Association of REALTORS member to help my clients better target and purchase single family homes, multi-unit investment properties, and mixed-use commercial buildings in the Chicagoland area that fit their specific needs. In 2017, I founded what would become the Costa Rican branch of The Stoic Team to offer our clients exclusive opportunities to invest in real estate developments, construction projects, private public partnerships, large scale agricultural and industrial projects. With a presence in the greater metropolitan area (GAM) and the Nicoya peninsula, we are happy to guide our clients to investment opportunities that are right for them.In 2018 I cofounded PAC Construction LLC to provide boutique construction options to my short term rental clients, gut rehabbers, and developers. After building hotels for our clients in Indiana, Michigan, Florida, and Illinois, the company grew faster than I was prepared for and I sold my stake in 2021.In 2021, I served on the Board of Directors of Grupo El Guarial S.A., conglomerate in Paquera, Costa Rica where I oversaw the management of teak lumber forests, carbon tax credit forests, concessions to dredge rivers, mango groves, and cattle. Service to others and civic duty are two of my central beliefs. Most recently, I served as Chair of the Bicentennial Planning Committee of the University of Chicago LatinX Alumni Network. After the pandemic forced an end to decades long traditions of celebrating Central America's Independence on September 15h, I coordinated with the Central American Civic Society, The University of Chicago, and the General Consulates of Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, and Honduras to revive these traditions.
