Graduating in July 2014 with a BSc Sports Coaching with Honours (2:1) from the University of the West of Scotland. I am a professional with experience in sports coaching, sports development, performance enhancement, community engagement and volunteer recruitment, as well as, an award winning youthworker and outdoor professional. Practical Experience Sports Coaching - I began coaching from an early age. Initially, delivering warm up sessions to junior players, I worked hard before becoming the Head coach of Scotland Wheelchair Rugby League and leading the team to the World Cup finals in France (2017).I led a multidisciplinary team of sports and medical professionals to the Wheelchair Rugby League World Cup in France (2017). I motivated, the small team to ensure athletes achieved their potential on the field. I ensured every match was an opportunity to learn and progress, professionally and personally for athletes and staff. Sports Management - Appointed Team Manager with Scotland Rugby League Wheelchair to lead the team to Rugby League World Cup 2021 Community EngagementI have delivered a range of programmes to Early Years, Children and Families as well as Issues Based and Accredited Youthwork while promoting Community Empowerment. Recently I was awarded an Inspiration Award by the my peers and young people I worked with on the Duke of Edinburgh's Award. It was an honour to be recognised by my colleagues and fellow professionals.
