Grew up in small town of Hantsport in Annapolis Valley, graduated with a BSc at Acadia University, and then undertook Graduate Studies at Dalhousie. Lived in Halifax 1978-1985, Toronto and area 1985-1995, then back to Nova Scotia to beautiful St. Margaret's Bay.Hydrogeologist with over 30 years experience in private consulting as a Professional Geoscientist, based in Halifax 1980-1985, Toronto 1986-95, Halifax since then. Specializing in assessment and remediation of industrial and commercial contaminated sites, municipal groundwater supply development, surface water impact studies, landfill assessment and mine closures. My prime Interest lies with lobbying government for positive change to policies and regulations to ensure environmental sustainability over future generations. Hence my interest in politics and was elected as HRM Municipal Councillor 2008-12 for St Margaret's - Hammonds Plains, which I thoroughly enjoyed, made positive change and since continue to work on several Boards and Committees as a Volunteer.
