Managed all pharmacy operations including five dispensing locations. Responsible for 58 employees. Assisted director in managing financial aspects of the department, responsible for personnel utilization/budget. Assisted with preparation for merger of hospitals and pharmacy departments, including union negotiations. Served on ICU Committee and Medication Safety Subcommittee of P&T Committee. Precepted Pharmacy Practice Resident for pharmacy operations rotation. Through healthcare team participation, optimized pharmaceutical care and medication related patient outcomes for approximately seventeen patients (Spinal Cord Injury). Educated medical, nursing and pharmacy staff in appropriate medication use, counseled and educated patients regarding use of home medications, nutritional/herbal supplements, and relevant dietary information.
