Full P&L management of the world’s largest Sulphur & Sulphuric Acid marketing, trading and logistics company, a division of Oxbow Carbon, LLC, a privately held company owned primarily by Bill Koch. $950M revenue 4.5M tons of material moved world-wide, 50% of the business in North America and 50% global Multiple divisions across several industries• Sulphur and Sulphuric Acid trading, logistics, shipping and rail car leasing business• Fertilizer sales, distribution, and terminal operations division• Specialty trucking division Took control of a business from the previous Owner/President who sold the business to Oxbow in 2011 and was retiring Introduced financial and process discipline to reduce costs, gain control of the commercial organization, and increase pricing and profitability/ton. Reduced fixed costs/SG&A by 25% (with no loss of productivity) while increasing volumes and margin, more than doubling EBITDA in one year and tripling it during my tenure. Dramatically trimmed underutilized asset base - right sizing the industry’s largest fleet of rail cars down from 1,800 to 1,400, driving up asset utilization without a loss of customer service Throughout tenure, had regular, bi weekly interaction with Chairman/Owner and Board members. In 2017 and in coordination with the Board, the Oxbow Executive Management Team (of which the President, Oxbow Sulphur was a member) determined that the growth strategy of the parent Oxbow Carbon, LLC. was going to change from one of aggressive growth, to one of selling off divisions to help focus Oxbow on its carbon-based businesses. Led the sale of the Fertilizer distribution business in 2017, the sale of the Trucking Division (Gulf Transport) in 2018, and finally, completed the sale of the remaining Sulphur and Sulphuric Acid business in 2019, in three separate transactions. All completed without losing key personnel or market share.

Led the group on a new Lean Manufacturing journey for continuous improvement and Sandler Sales Training program. Group had what was recognized in Cemex as the best safety culture in the company. The group also had the highest employee engagement of any business worldwide within Cemex. 5 year Executive Committee member of Florida Concrete and Products Assoc.

Following the acquisition of a business (Rinker) that doubled the size of the US operations, assigned responsibility for the Planning and Business Development duties in the East Region with total sales of over $2.0B and 3,500 employees across 250+ ready mix plants (12M cy), 8 cement plants (8Mtons), and 60 block plants (38M block) and 34 aggregate quarries and distribution facilities (20M tons).
