In this position I act as a direct line of support for the Director of Strategy at Cafcass. This role contains numerous BAU tasks within it but namely this will involve the likes of inbox and diary management, meeting preparation (including minute-taking and other administrative responsibilities) & maintain excellent relations with key stakeholders from the MoJ, HMCTS and within Cafcass itself.

I was employed on a full-time basis as a Sales Administrator for Barrett’s BMW. In this position, my role was to ensure that all vehicles were consigned, taxed and registered with precision alongside a small and experienced team. Working in this role allowed me to deepen my understanding of the importance of working quickly and precisely when handling vast quantities of data, whilst simultaneously remaining conscious of GDPR. Furthermore, this position allowed for me to strengthen my ability to take accurate notes on matters surrounding the role and communicate them clearly and effectively to my line-managers, in addition to rectifying any issues appropriately.

I was employed on a part-time basis by Barretts BMW as a showroom host. In this position, I maintained a high level of diligence when receiving potential clientele of the business and ensure that my rapport with customers (new and returning) is of a premium standard as I am a firm believer that when dealing with a luxury commodity, such as a BMW, unparalleled service, respect and professionalism is key to success. This role has provided me with the wonderful opportunity to further expand on my ability to attain excellent customer satisfaction, to finesse my telephone etiquette and to improve on hardworking and professional demeanor. This role has enabled me to flourish in resolving customer dissatisfaction where necessary but also to aid in any such query that a customer may possess, my ability to be clear in communication and to negotiate effectively is an asset that I am very much proud to be in possession of.

Alongside my degree and my occupation, I volunteered for a programme called CLOCK as a volunteer Community Legal Companion. This university-run programme operates as part of the Combined Courts at Canterbury, as well in other courts across the United Kingdom to assist those in their access to the justice system. In this role, my responsibility is to aid service-users in their struggles throughout the litigation process. The responsibilities that are included in this position are aiding in filling out court documents, providing McKenzie Friend level assistance in court and working in an assistance role in aiding service-users to locate the correct form of aid required such as signposting them onto solicitor firms, barrister’s chambers and various other legal aid organisations. This role is conducted mainly on the telephone and through an secure email system, as a result of the pandemic there could not be any face-to-face clientele.

In addition to the aforementioned, I would be responsible for completing our customer orders, this would involve taking in the stock and logging it onto our system, following this, it would be my responsibility to handle calls to the parties and maintain an excellent and high standard of customer service. Furthermore, as sales staff I would be required to meet high sales targets and ensure that they were always achieved.
