Responsible for leading the Asset Based Lending Underwriting and Portfolio Management teams to an acceptable risk and return level, manage/coach professional and technical staff including Relationship Managers, Underwriters, Collateral Analysts and other employees as needed, develop bench strength, develop skill set of supervisors and employees, challenge/motivate staff to their highest quality performance and build a collaborative portfolio management. Work with the Underwriting and Business Development Officers to structure, diligence, and negotiate new opportunities in the Western Region. Oversee existing client relationships and ensure they are managed in compliance with the Bank's Credit Policy and Underwriting Guidelines. Handle problems that arise with client accounts as well as manage criticized and classified credits to maximize recovery while balancing time and expense. Work through credit facility defaults and restructuring credit facilities. HR related administrative duties. Lead monthly Portfolio Meetings focused on in depth analysis into each client's performance and collateral trends with the objective to expand desired relationships and minimize risks of undesirable relationships.
