Integral and essential member of the Vroon finance team, working in a busy and demanding environment whilst still meeting all deadlines and supporting my accounts payable department, accounting manager and finance manager with other requirements. Responsible for being the primary contact for payment related queries and solutions, establishing myself as a prompt and proactive contact for all company colleagues and external vendors. Main responsibilities include managing and updating the daily cash flow with payments or receipts for multiple companies and posting journals using the AX 2012 system, bi-monthly multiple vendor payments, working to balance intercompany invoice clearances on a monthly basis and overseeing intercompany loan drawdowns an repayments within our two groups altogether containing 17 companies. At month end, key tasks include eliminations of internal and external loan and interest accruals, reconciliation of intercompany AP and AR invoices, managing the fixed assets register for the company's 34 vessels including posting of drydocking costs and adjustments and completing multiple company balance sheet reconciliations in a timely manner. Have also been responsible for preparing quarterly accounts cash flow forecasts as well as preparing yearly financial accounts (CCH) and company tax computations (ALPHATAX).

Accounting

Part of a 3 person accounts payable team, responsible for half of the UK company's accounts ledger as well as being the primary contact for another international entity of the company. Main duties include supporting the accounts payable supervisor, processing supplier invoices using our Progressive EAM and SUN Systems software, reconciling supplier statements as well as assisting in any finance related issues from any other departments within the company. In addition to these, another important weekly task is the weekly payables forecast required for company cash flow. The weekly forecast also represents which supplier are due to be paid on the end of week payment runs which the payables assistants carry out. Other tasks include posting and allocating payment journals, setting up new vendors from correctly filled out vendor forms and collating information to produce month end job and overhead accruals.

After my first 6 months employed as a Night Porter, I was trained by various HOD's for the Night Auditor position. This management position allowed me to excel in being a Team Leader by taking over from the evening HOD and leading the evening F&B staff in cashing up the days sales and managing the final stages of large capacity functions such as weddings and staff parties. I had shown versatility in the summer of 2018 by being utilised on morning reception shifts for 1 month in place of a member of staff who had been travelling. The duties of this position involved Bank Reconciliation, Night and Morning Safe Count, Charging Guests Accommodation, Various other tasks as well as managing the Night Porter in their duties such as setting up function rooms, following up with guest requests and ensuring all tasks are done to the highest possible standard. I have been recognised through reviews on TripAdvisor as being a caring and thoughtful member of staff and also from my former colleagues as being enthusiastic and hard working.
