Whilst on my work experience I was tasked with maintaining full responsibility for the servicing and repairing of boilers and gas fires, involving: liaising with clients to ascertain the root cause of the issue, managing all fault finding and maintaining a diligent approach to health and safety across all endeavours. Proactively checking all safety features to mitigate risk, as well as ensuring gas installations are tight as required. Liaising with the Operations Manager and the Gas Engineer.Diary management: planning and prioritising work activities and managing workload effectively. Maintaining a high level of attention to detail and efficiency at all times. Ensuring constant adherence to company policies, legislations and industry best practices.Routinely checking materials to ensure effective availability. Simplifying technical knowledge to non technical parties as and where required. Advising clients on project feasibility and time frames where required. Building and maintaining the appropriate knowledge to effectively attend to any technical problems that may arise. Developing an exceptional rapport with all clients due to exceptional client relation skills.

Whilst Travelling, I decided to apply for a job in the outback of Australia to experience a totally different culture as we I was situated within an aboriginal community. My roles involved; Checking customers in and ensuring all cabins were fully operational and ready for use.Maintaining responsibility for all aspects of maintenance, including: fixing roofs/doors, any issues inside the rooms (such as toilets or showers) or fixing electrical devices (such as tills). Liaising with the Manager on a regular basis.Conducting general grounds maintenance, involving: conducting general gardening duties.Liaising with customers from different cultural backgrounds in a professional and respectful manner.Troubleshooting where required: providing comprehensive solutions to combat any future issues.
