I got my first computer when I was 20 and I really didn't like them. It then broke and I had to take it apart and fix it. That is when I really fell in love with computers. It made me realize that the Information Technology field is where I wanted to focus all of my time.From there I have spent the next 10 years doing Server/End user support. Some days were more challenging than the rest but there were not many issues I couldn’t fix. 3 years ago I was told that I would be great doing the daily setup and maintaining of the corporate network. As most of you know to be thrown into something new, it poses great challenges but I hit the ground running looking to learn all I could about how networks work, how to set them up and make them secure.The last year at Halifax Water has had many projects that I was the project leader. • I setup a wireless network with Enterprise encryption with centralize management • Commissioned a new network design in our new facility• In the next few months I will have to integrate a new site onto our Corporate WAN.I really enjoy the security field and I am currently working on getting my ICND1 on the first step to get my CCNP.
