As the Managing Director, I am responsible for providing the leadership, management and vision necessary to ensure that the company provides sound services to the clients and specifically undertakes the following functions: • Work with the client and the account team to understand the client's business objectives and advertising strategy• Liaise with the creative agency team, clients and consumers to develop media strategies and campaigns• Work on several projects at the same time, often for several different clients• Make decisions on the best form of media for specific clients and campaigns• Undertake research and analyze data using specialist industry resources• Identify target audiences and analyze their characteristics, behaviour and media habits• Present proposals, including cost schedules, to clients• Recommend the most appropriate types of media to use, as well as the most effective time spans and locations to clients• Make and maintain good contacts with media owners, such as newspapers, magazines and websites• Manage client relationships to build respect and gain their trust • Proofread advertisement content before release• Evaluate the effectiveness of campaigns to inform future ones.

• To coordinate programmes in the Department of Communication studies• Coordinates development of course catalogs, promotional materials, educational materials, training manuals, newsletters, and/or brochures, as appropriate to the program.• To prepare training materials – i.e. slides and handouts for students as well as use multi-pronged approach in training students• To carry out research and produce publications, or other research outputs, in line with personal objectives agreed in the Staff review process.• To obtain research funding support.• To engage with the broader scholarly and professional communities.• To supervise or assist with supervision of undergraduate and diploma students.• To contribute to the development, planning and implementation of a high quality curriculum.• To assist in the development of learning materials, preparing schemes of work and maintaining records to monitor student progress, achievement and attendance.• To participate in departmental and faculty seminars aimed at sharing research outcomes and building interdisciplinary collaboration within and outside the department.• To participate in the development, administration and marking of exams and other assessments.• To provide pastoral care and support to students.• To participate in the administration of the department’s programmes of study and other activities.• Patron, The Communicator Publication editorial board of Moi University

• Lead programming teams on commercial radio stations, ensuring that they produce programming that meets the creative and commercial needs of each station.• Represent stations at local level and building relationships within the community.• Ensure that programming complies with the laws, regulations and industry codes governing radio broadcasting, and make sure that complaints are dealt with swiftly.• Making decisions on programming, music, and reviewing demos of new talents.• Organizing guests, interviews and live on-air performances on RMS Radio outlets.• Shape on air products in a way that they appeal to the targeted demographics.• Generating and presenting concepts as well as enabling Business teams to collect and process media orders so as to achieve set sales targets i.e. weekly, monthly, quarterly, semi-annually and annually.
