I joined the team in early 2017. In this role I was responsible for Customer Services, Order Management, WIP and BOM Modules. I worked with teams in Nottingham Contact Centre and Guernsey Warehouse on the Wave 1 software deployment.Following Wave 1 I helped facilitate UAT at HiSpec/NLRX before the Oracle project was paused.During this period I have also worked on various system and process improvements within Manufacturing and Distribution to reduce costs and improve efficiency

During my time as Supply Chain System Manager I acted as liaison between supply chain and IT department to ensure successful project development and implementation.I was also a key member of project team to build and implement a manufacturing plant in HungaryI project managed a number of new product introductions including Freeform production in UK and Chinese manufacturing labsI have also been heavily in defining requirements for a new manufacturing software solution

At LensOnline I was responsible for the relocation of the business to Kidderminster.After this was achieved I project managed implementation of an ERP system used the distribution of B to C contact lenses

My first role at Airways Optical was to take on the responsible for the build and equipping of a new prescription lens manufacturing site Implemented a computer based production manufacturing system.When the relocation had been achieved I then introduced safety eyewear production. This included BSI Kite Mark and ISO 9000 accreditationLater I was part of the team that introduced a number of new automated manufacturing techniques and equipment

 Responsible for IT, warehousing and distribution Implementation of a forecasting software solution gave a decrease in stock holding from 12 weeks to 3 weeks. Project Manager for the introduction of an integrated software package Installation of systems using ORACLE, Microsoft and IBM products. Member of the Federation of Manufacturing Opticians (FMO) EDI and Bar-coding Standards Committee.

On joining the company I completed the installation and commissioning of a number of automation projects. This included a FMS cell that reduced product lead time from 16 weeks to 4 weeks. I also brought a robot production plant to successful completion. Much of the work was achieved by remotivating the staff and improving communication with other areas of the company. Two months after joining the company I was also given responsibility for approximately 25% of the company's production. My final work was on reducing the excessive WIP and leadtime of components produced in this area.

reporting to the Managing Director. I joined Mitchell Cotts in order to become more of a 'generalist'. Thus enabling me to appreciate the company wide view of a business organisa¬tion. This was originally in a junior position in a small company. But due to the rate of growth this was almost a constant period of reorganisation and refinement, leading to my promotion. I negotiated the introduction of a number of new product ranges, one valued at £1.2m per annum. This involved regular travel to U.K. and European customer bases, including Germany, France, Belgium and Italy.I also project led the implementation of a quality assurance system to Ford Q101, GM GQS and BS5750 standards. Later I was involved in the management of the transfer of work between two companies after an acquisi¬tion. This had a budget of £1.25m for the investment in CAD, CNC equipment and a MRP II system. This work included carrying out negotiations at all levels in order to assure the success of these projects.I had total P. and L. responsibility for all technical functions within the company and gained particular skills in studying the feasibility and the planning of new business.

I originally joined Rolls Royce as an undergraduate apprentice and was sponsored while taking my first degree. I initially had experience of wide ranging disciplines including Customer Service, Employment and Product Design. After graduating I worked in the Advanced Projects Area of the Test Engineering Department. As well as being involved in gas turbine and component development, I worked on research projects for Burmah Castrol, Guy's Hospital, the Bristol Maternity Hospital and the U.K. Atomic Energy Research Establishment at Harwell. In late 1982 I moved to the Commercial Department where my technical and commercial experiences were used in a Business Planning capacity. This involved the writing and use of software that was used in liason with the marketing department to build up expected cost profiles for existing and potential customers.

My early work experience at Glacier has proved to be a sound foundation for the development of my experience. This has been not only in technical aspects, but also in the areas of communication and man management.
